My Country is Clean...

“Ask not what your Country can do for you, ask what you can do for your Country.” JFK

To make this Country more attractive to tourists, we have to keep it clean, and it will be clean if we make it a habit to throw away our candy wrappers, cigarette butts and garbage only to garbage receptacles. The government should place more garbage receptacles, painted nice, in public places, roads and highways.

Taxi operators should make sure that their taxicabs smell nice and their drivers don’t smell! Uniformed taxi drivers also look decent. They should not choose passengers or ask for tips. After all, many taxi passengers give tips without being asked.

Each of us should be nice, polite and helpful to foreign visitors. A smile doesn’t cost a penny!

Police visibility should be maintained to deter crimes. The PNP leadership, however, should do everything to get rid of kotong cops!

Each of us must promote our Country to the World in any way we can, especially in venues most available to us like Facebook, Twitter and other social media networks.

But most importantly, let’s do everything we can to stop corruption so that the government will have more funds for infrastructure projects essential to our tourism industries.

As to corruption, the least that we can do is to reject the corrupt, the trapos, the epals and the political dynasties this coming elections!
